I am to enclose here with the desired information for favor of your perusals and needful action. During 37 years of my carrier in the State Fisheries Department (1973-2010), I have trained and sensitized thousands of Fishers and Farmers throughout Odisha, starting from the illiterate marine fishers, pisciculturists up to the elite class of Govt. hierarchy like, Fisheries Extension officers (as Lecturer in Fisheries Training Institute), Block Development Officers (as desired by Collectors), District Employment Officers (as desired by Commissioner cum Secretary, Labour and Employment) and so on. Even at present, as a guest Faculty for the M.F.Sc students, in the P G Dept of Zoology, Utkal University, Bhubaneswar, I am in my mission for dissemination of latest ideas for popularization of Science and Culture for the society at large. The broad highlights of my life long achievements in various fields can be summed up as:

1. I was the All India Topper in D F Sc (1st Class with 1st Rank), from the Central Institute of Fisheries Education (I C A R), Mumbai in 1982, felicitated by the then Commissioner Cum Secretary. F&ARD Dept. Odisha.

2. Chief Architect for formulation of OMFRA-1982 (Orissa Marine Fisheries Regulation Act)

3. State envoy to the states of Andhra-Pradesh and Madhya-Pradesh during 1998, for the study of Reservoir Fishery Management Principles adopted in those 2 states.

4. Author for OSRFP–2002 (Orissa State Reservoir Fishery Policy), Draft Orissa Inland Fishery Conservation Act

5. Attended many Training Programs, Conferences, Seminars, Symposia organized in the Regional, National And International Level.

6. Recognized as the External Examiner for the B.F.SC. Examinations of Collage of Fisheries, by the Vice-Chancellor, O U A T, Bhubaneswar vide Letter No. 632/ OUAT Dated 02.01.2002.

7. Recognized as a Resource Person by the All-India-Radio, Door–Darshan, Centurion University, Utkal University, College of Fisheries, I.M.A.G.E. (Institute for Management of Agriculture Extension), M.I.CM. (Madhusudan Institute of cooperative Management), S.I.R.D. (State Institute for Rural Development) and N.I.R.D. (National Institute for Rural Development).

8. After my retirement in 2008, I got 2 years extension up to 2010 to continue as the Managing Director, Odisha State Fishermen Cooperative Federation (FISHFED), Odisha.

9. Published so far 25 Scientific Papers in various National and Regional Scientific Magazines and Bulletins.

10. Author of 7 books (in English) on “Fisheries Science”, for the Graduate and Post-Graduate students of various Indian Universities & abroad. Authored 3 books in Odia Language relating to literature and culture.

11. A columnist writing columns for Odia Daily News Papers and Magazines and about 24 columns written by me have been published and circulated throughout Odisha

12. A poet who have been felicitated with the “Basant-Asar-Samman-2017” by Citizen Committee, Odisha and ‘Saraswat Gitee-kabi Samman-2017’ by Saraswat Samaj, Odisha and “Kabi Prativa Samman” from Godavarish Sahitya Sansad, Bhubaneswar.

13. Graced as the Chief-Guest/ Guest of Honour/ Chief-Speaker in several functions organized by College of Fisheries, Rangeilunda, S I M S, Cuttack, S V M S V College, Chaudakulat, Modern School, Rasulgarh etc. More about me can be glanced trough, from my Curriculum-vittae or by a click in my name “K C Badapanda” in the Google Search…..
